We thank Graeme and Mary Walters for preserving and transcribing Ruby Roberts’ diary, allowing us to share the story of Australia’s greatest female English billiards player. Peerless in skill and dominance before World War I, Roberts remains the benchmark for all female players have followed in her footsteps.

Ruby Roberts was an Australian Professional Billiards player before the First World War. Growing up in a billiards environment (her uncle was the Australian Professional Champion Charles Memmott) and John Roberts was her mentor and coach.
