Lindrum Legends

Established in 2019, Lindrum Legends is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Walter Lindrum, one of Australia's most illustrious sports figures. The Lindrum family has long been renowned for its commitment to charitable causes. We honoured Walter's spirit by founding the Walter Lindrum Grant in 2019. This initiative aims to elevate the profile of cue sports in Australia and support aspiring players striving to compete on the world stage.

Launched in 2021, walterlindrum.org serves as a long-overdue tribute to Walter Lindrum, ensuring his extraordinary talent and unparalleled achievements in billiards remain celebrated. With a legacy of records that are unmatched in the sport's history, Walter's contributions to billiards are enshrined not only in Australian history but also in the global sports arena.

This website offers a comprehensive collection of high-quality, authentic content detailing Walter's achievements and life story. It stands as a testament to the dedication and expertise of the Lindrum Legends team, whose efforts have helped to bring this resource to fruition. The site benefits from the invaluable contributions of Walter’s admirers, who have generously provided essential elements of his legacy.

The success of this website has paved the way for providing the naming rights and the high break prize for the Walter Lindrum Open, a prestigious World Billiards ranking event held in Walter's honour, and supporting the inaugural Walter Lindrum Nursery Cannon Challenge. Thanks to Tammy and her husband John's hard work, Walter's remarkable achievements have been featured at the MCG's National Sports Museum and the Chairman's Lounge of the Victorian Racing Club at Flemington. Lindrum Legends also donated the Dolly Lindrum Perpetual Trophy for the Australian National Women's Billiards Championship, underscoring the Lindrum family's ongoing commitment to the sport.

In 2023, Tammy Lindrum was elected Vice President of the Victorian Billiards and Snooker Association, where her visionary and innovative approach, in collaboration with her amazing team, has secured numerous sponsorships to increase the visibility of billiards and snooker and support junior development. True to the Lindrum name, Tammy has carried on Walter's charitable nature.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has contributed to the website and promoted it. We will continue to add to the rich content and further strengthen Walter Lindrum's legacy as one of Australia's sporting greats.
